Our Talent Acquisition Strategist, Megan McMenamin, shares some insights into her experience at Perrigo and what she finds most rewarding in her role!
How long have you worked at Perrigo?
I’ve been with Perrigo for over six years! Today, I work in our Talent Acquisition Strategy Centre of Excellence, shaping global hiring strategies and driving impactful initiatives across the organisation.
What keeps you at Perrigo?
The people! I love collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines across the globe. The international scope of my role makes every day exciting and rewarding. The opportunity to make a real impact, the scope of responsibility, and Perrigo’s global reach are huge draws for me - along with our purpose-driven mission around self-care.
How has your career progressed since you joined?
I started as a European Talent Acquisition Partner - my first in-house recruitment role after working in agency recruitment. I recruited across Ireland, Belgium, and Hungary, which was an incredible experience. Three years ago, I transitioned into a Centre of Excellence role, moving away from day-to-day recruitment to focus on strategic initiatives while staying deeply connected to Talent Acquisition.
What is your favourite aspect of your role?
The ability to influence globally and deliver meaningful change. A highlight this year was launching our new One Perrigo Hiring Process - a transparent, streamlined approach developed in collaboration with colleagues across the business and external partners. Bringing that to life has been incredibly rewarding. I've also had plenty of opportunity to work on various adhoc projects as well which really energise me!
How would you describe the company culture?
One word: Collaborative. Since day one, collaboration has been at the heart of how we work. While I have ownership of my area, I think that the support and teamwork across functions is what makes Perrigo truly special.
What is most exciting about life at Perrigo?
The chance to have impact, work cross-functionally, and operate on a global scale. Every project brings new challenges and opportunities to learn.
Why is Self-Care so important to you? How do you prioritise it?
Self-care is non-negotiable for me. Life can be demanding, so taking time for ourselves and our families is essential. I’m a big believer in work-life balance - for me, this is not and should not just be viewed as a buzzword. For my self-care I like to practice meditation, yoga, or take a simple walk by the sea. Even 20–30 minutes to reset can make all the difference!
We are always looking for passionate, dedicated people to join our teams at Perrigo. Take your next career step today and check out our live vacancies!
